Church's Chicken Adds Mader and Barnett to Exec Team for Beefed-Up Expansion

Church's Chicken has beefed up its Business Development and Purchasing functions with the hiring of Michael Mader and John Barnett. Mader is being named senior vice president of Global Strategy, Planning and Alliances, while Barnett will head purchasing as Church's senior vice president, Global Supply Chain and Purchasing.

The new executive team members add to the new hires and personnel promotions announced in January. Mader and Barnett will report to Jim Hyatt, chief executive of Church's Chicken.

Mader will be charged with the global execution of strategy development, midrange and long-term planning facilitation and execution for Church's Chicken 1,700 stores. Additionally, he'll lead the QSR chicken chain's alliances and business partnerships.

Before joining Church’s, Michael Mader was the sales vice president for The Coca-Cola Company, supporting the worldwide Burger King account.  “Mike and Barry bring a wealth of experience to our team and will help guide the company’s strategy, commitment to quality, and in having strong alliances with our vendor partners," said Hyatt in a statement. "These positions strengthen our management team and our ability to accomplish our short, mid, and long-range objectives.”

Barnett worked at Burger King as vice president, Global Supply Chain, leading key supply chain drivers of the business. Prior to his role at Burger King, he was Purchasing vice president for Restaurant Services Incorporated (RSI).
