Jamba Juice Reports Prelim Sales Results for Q2

Jamba released preliminary same store sales figures for its second quarter ending July 12. In its report, company stores posted a moderately robust same store sales increase of 4.3 percent versus last year (LY).  The company indicated it was the eighth quarter with positive LY comparisons in the last nine quarters.

  • System-wide same store sales increased 2.9 percent, compare to LY, for the second quarter.
  • Franchise stores posted same store sales growth of 1.4 percent vs. LY's second quarter

Earlier this year, Jamba Juice announced it completed retail licensing of nine product lines under its Commercial Products Group (CPG) initiative (May) and has made significant strides against its aggressive refranchising effort. The Emeryville, Calif.-based smoothie and 'better-for-you' fast casual concept will post second quarter earnings results Wednesday, August 16.

“We are establishing a business model, an organization and a roadmap that will lay the foundation to help drive accelerated growth well into the future," said James D. White, chairman, president and chief executive for Jamba.

Jamba Juice operates and franchises nearly 750 stores.
