BOSTON —Kandessa Media, and publisher of quick-service restaurant (QSR) content for, announced it will begin to operate as to distribute its digital content to QSR leaders effective July 1. Quick Serve Leader™ will become the third largest digital magazine for U.S. QSR management.

Kandessa Media became the sole QSR-exclusive trade news media company on May 16 when its main competitor, Food News Media Group, launched a full-service digital magazine. will bring a more focused breadth of content to executives, owners and operators of QSR chains and independent quick-service restaurants. The online magazine will capitalize on Kandessa Media's archive of focused, fresh, QSR news for Northeast restaurateurs delivered from an inside-the-industry perspective.

Kandessa Media has agreed to rebrand its publications pursuant to a private settlement agreement with Journalistic, Inc. which resolved all matters in dispute between the parties. The new digital magazine will focus on technology, marketing, social media, and operational issues facing quick serve leaders today.

"It made sense for us to hone in on operational and best practice issues facing top QSR management," said Kandessa Media Founder Rick Zambrano. "The new trade name and style will ensure the continuity of the reliable industry coverage for which we're known."

Kandessa Media will begin accepting proposals from B2B publishers to form a publishing joint venture to bring limited high-impact content to a regional print format for its Northeast restaurant industry leaders.

"The JV will give us an accelerated way to start bringing our focused content to print in a regional format," added Zambrano. "We know the B2B publishing partner we secure will benefit from the relationship and the industry's core advertisers will support us."

Since 2009, Kandessa Media has secured a presence in the QSR news space, covering all three of the most recent National Restaurant Association's shows and securing high-profile interviews with executives at McDonald's, Smashburger, UFood Grill, Roark Capital, parent of Corner Bakery and pending buyer of Arby's, and Uno Due Go, to name a few.
