Boston-based AisleBuyer LLC released its new mobile self-checkout solution ─ this one exclusively for restaurants ─ mDine. The company hopes to capitalize on the consumer's ravenous appetite for smartphone applications that make daily retail and dining experiences more efficient.

mDine aims to provide consumers with convenience and restaurants with additional ways to services guests. Customers will use the app to select restaurants, order meals, and self-pay.

AisleBuyer reports that mDine app will also provide restaurants with a full breadth of customer lifecycle analysis, including ordering and preference metrics. Restaurants will also be able to market to and engage customers  during and after the purchase, as well as offer promotions and deals.
