UFood Restaurant Group Lands Deal for Co-Branded Airport Stores


In UFood Restaurant's continued expansion initiatives, it has found a new partner. The health-centric fast casual chain serving up "better for you" food, has partnered with Euro Café for several co-branded locations with concessionaire Hudson News. The Euro Café brand is present in several airports across the country, and Northeast Corridor locations, including Philly Airport, New York's JFK Airport and Ronal Reagan National Airport in Arlington, VA

UFood signed an agreement to operate in 35 Euro Café locations in 22 airports here in the United States and also in Canada. Euro Café, a family-owned coffee concept started in Virginia, offers guests European-style coffee with a sustainability angle.

The move is positioning UFood Grill for faster expansion in the airport trade channel, it already several airport locations, but also has urban in-line, hospitals and shopping centers. The chain will now expand its transportation trade channel presence beyond the Boston, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, and Dallas airports.

UFood's stores at the Salt Lake City International Airport will open in late April 2012.

UFood's menu offers a range of healthy options for consumers in its lean burgers, sandwiches, salads and entrees, incorporating natural and sustainable ingredients, including grass-fed beef, antibiotic and hormone-free meats and cage-free eggs.
